Operatory rough-in
In-floor and in-wall plumbing, vacuum, compressed air, power and data set to the chair and delivery-unit templates — before the slab is closed.
Dental construction
Dental office construction by a general contractor that builds them constantly — operatories, sterilization, plumbing, med gas, X-ray and patient flow, for single practices and multi-location groups.
A dental office is one of the most infrastructure-dense interiors a general contractor builds. Every operatory needs water, drain, vacuum, compressed air, power and data brought to an exact point in the floor or wall, and all of it has to line up with the equipment the practice has already bought.
Dental is the largest part of the Principal Builders Solutions healthcare portfolio. We build for single-doctor practices, pediatric and specialty offices, and multi-location dental groups that need the same standard delivered at every address.
Clients include: Give Smile Dental · One Endo · CPW Dentistry · Bitesize · Gramercy Pediatric Dentistry · Happy KiDDS Pediatric Dentistry · Dental 365 · Brooklyn Mint Dental · Dental 365 Galloway - Warwick · Court Street Dental · Kay Family Dentistry · Impressions Orthodontics and Dentistry · Polished Dental Care · Sweet Tooth Dental and more.
Scope
In-floor and in-wall plumbing, vacuum, compressed air, power and data set to the chair and delivery-unit templates — before the slab is closed.
Dirty-to-clean workflow, casework, dedicated exhaust, and the utilities that sterilizers and ultrasonic units require.
Compressor and vacuum-pump placement, vibration and noise control, and venting that keeps the equipment out of the patient experience.
Blocking, power and wall construction coordinated with the X-ray or CBCT vendor and the shielding design called for in the drawings.
Nitrous oxide and oxygen piping installed and verified by certified installers when the practice offers sedation.
Reception, consult rooms, ADA-compliant restrooms and corridors, and finishes that clean easily and hold up to daily traffic.
Building rules, insurance, after-hours work, filings and inspections handled as part of the job, not left to the doctor.
One schedule shared with the dental supplier so chairs, cabinetry and imaging land when the space is actually ready for them.

Questions
The infrastructure. A dental office carries far more plumbing, vacuum, compressed air and dedicated power per square foot than an ordinary office, and it all has to land at exact equipment locations. Mistakes are buried in the floor, so coordination has to happen before the slab work, not after.
Yes. We build from the supplier’s equipment templates and keep them on the same schedule as the trades, so rough-in dimensions are verified before anything is closed up and delivery is timed to when the rooms are ready.
Yes. Much of our dental work is for groups opening or renovating several offices. Repeating clients get the same project team, the same documentation in Procore, and lessons from one location carried into the next.
Often, yes. Phasing the work, building temporary partitions, and scheduling noisy or dusty work after hours lets many practices keep seeing patients. We plan that with you before pricing the job.
Send the drawings — or just the address and a description if you are early — through the contact form. We review the scope and come back with next steps and a proposal.
